The Darkest of Souls Walkthrough Guide
Find the Darkest of Souls
After entering the Pit of Eternal Sands, you must now find the Darkest of Souls. With your two newly obtained Time Powers, you must navigate the Pit of Eternal Sands and obtain the said Soul.
Head Right to Activate the First Wak-Wak Tree
Before doing anything, immediately head right and activate the Wak Wak Tree to rest up and adjust your amulets if needed.
Use the Flowing Sands to Then Head Downward
After resting up, head to the area beneath the Wak-Wak tree then head right. From there, you'll encounter sands that are flowing upwards.
You can stay in these sands and then keep jumping to reach higher areas. But this time, proceed to the area beneath it.
Continue Heading Southeast
Your main general direction for this area would be downward. Follow the path and continue through the platforming obstacles continuously.
Once you reach an area with a branching path on the right and downwards. Use the flowing sand then head right to find your next Wak-Wak Tree.
Head Left After the 2nd Wak-Wak Tree
Once you're done resting, head left and solve the series of platforming obstacles in the area. Most obstacles involve using the flowing sand so use them to your advantage by controlling your descent to solve the said challenges.
Head Downwards Until you Find the Next Wak-Wak Tree
Continue heading downward to find the next Wak-Wak Tree. There's also a Homa Statue nearby, so unlock it to be able to backtrack later. After resting, head further down to find an area with traces of the seal then go right.
Bait Out the Stone Pillars Before Navigating the next Obstacles
On the next set of obstacles, you'll see broken walls. These walls will summon a pillar on its opposite side if it detects that the player attempts to pass through it.
Try to bait out the pillars first before trying to pass through to get some extra time to pass the said pillars.
Head Right then Use the Flowing Sand to Find the Next Checkpoints
After you complete the pillar obstacle, you'll be able to find the next Wak-Wak tree and Homa Statue.
Activate both and rest up. Then, use the flowing sand to navigate upward then left to encounter the next set of pillar obstacles.
Destroy the Golden Seal at the end of the Challenge
Once you clear the next set of the pillar challenges, you'll find a golden seal and a door. Destroy the seal then head left to return to the previous Wak-Wak tree.
From there, head left and follow the golden thread until it leads you to a narrow path leading upward.
Centipide Obstacles
From here onwards, you'll have to deal with flowing sands and crawling centipedes. The Centipedes will have a set route that they'll follow and they'll also break through crystals they pass through.
Use the crystals they break as new pathways while using the flowing sand to avoid their route.
At the End of the Centipede Obstacles, Destroy the 2nd Golden Seal
After you pass through the centipedes, you'll find the next Golden Seal. Destroy it to open up the door and unlock the shortcut back to the sealed entrance. Return then save up and drop down to encounter the chapter's boss fight.
Convince the Darkest of Souls
After dropping off the sealed entrance, you'll have to fight against the giant serpent Azhdaha. Its main body will be in the background so study up its moveset and fight back!

Remember to Use your Time Powers
The chapter is mid-way through the story and it's important to start utilizing the tools at your disposal. Shadow of the Simurgh can help you reset difficult platforming levels without taking damage.
Don't forget to use Dimensional Claw's ability to store projectiles or objects! Then, you can throw it at enemies for a free ranged attack.
