Being stuck in a game is normal and pretty common when you're playing metroidvanias. Being stuck in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is no different.
Here are things you can do when stuck:
Guided Mode is an available option when playing the game. It is a game mode unique to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown where you have the option to see where to go next on your main quests.
If you have chosen Exploration Mode, you may turn on Guided Mode at any time during the game by going to the Settings screen.
When lost in the main quest of the game, not knowing what to do, Fariba is there to rescue you. You can buy hints from Fariba for 30 Time Crystals.
Fariba provides vague hints on what you can do next on your journey. The hints are not direct to the point but they can be really helpful when doing Exploration Mode.
When lost in an area, you can also buy Map Pieces from Fariba. Map Pieces from Fariba costs 50 Time Crystals and she will reveal a map of the whole area you are in.
It is strongly recommended to consistently purchase Map Pieces from Fariba to assist in exploration, preventing the risk of getting lost.
Do remember that not all map pieces can be bought from Fariba as some can be collected through chests.
Whenever you find yourself in an environment that appears to be ahead of your current progress, it is always useful to backtrack and explore other paths that you haven't trailed yet on the map.
Mount Qaf is huge and it is easy to get lost in other areas you aren't supposed to be in yet, so always keep in mind that retracing your steps isn't a bad idea.
You can put marks on your map for unavailable areas in the beginning of the game. This is helpful when advancing on to the next main quests where it can then be accessible. Marking the map is accessible by clicking the map button. You may add different marks to anywhere you like on the map.
Once lost in any main quest, it is advisable to go back to these marked areas most especially when you gain new time powers.
All Time Powers and How to Unlock Them
Another unique feature of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the Memory Shards. Use these Memory Shards and create a memory at any time by pressing the down button, it will then take a quick capture of your screen and save it automatically on your map.
Bear in mind that Memory Shards are limited and can be depleted so use these wisely.
