Doom: The Dark Ages is a straight-forward game you can beat in about under 18 hours of continuous gameplay. See how long it would take to beat the game depending on difficulty and collectibles considered!
| Playstyle | Est. Play Time to Beat |
|---|---|
| Speedrun | ~12 Hours |
| Main Story | 18-20 Hours |
| 100% Completion | 25+ Hours |

Doom is a franchise known for its impactful shooting and speedruns. While most competitive speedrunners complete the game in mere minutes, a casual speedrun - meaning just finishing objectives as quickly as possible without looking for collectibles - would be about 12 hours if you already know where to look.

Combat and crowd-control are the bread and butter of the Doom franchise. For a new player, 18-20 hours should be enough to complete the game on the lowest difficulty while still experiencing a good narrative.
This also accounts for some collectible hunting that you may find as you naturally progress through the levels.

Since there are hidden secret areas per level not to mentioning the collectible Toy Demons and Codex Lore Pages, exploring every inch of the map and solving puszzles to get every collectible all will add considerable time to your run.

There are no secret or hidden levels in Doom: The Dark Ages. The game is a straight-up campaign where you must clear 22 chapters to finish the game. On every other difficulty except Ultra-Nightmare
How do you think you'll fair against the forces of Hell and the hordes of demons that come with it? Will you try and get everything before continuing the next chapter? Or will you finish the entire campaign first and worry about collectibles as a post-game “side-mission”?
