Doom: The Dark Ages will be available on both X and S Editions for Xbox players to enjoy on launch. You can choose to purchase and play the game through the Microsoft Store or through Game Pass.
PS5 Version Available on PlayStation Store
Doom: The Dark Ages will be available to Playstation 5 players on launch, as part of id Software and Microsoft's move to make the game a multi-platform release. The game can also be purchased on the PlayStation store.
Is Doom: The Dark Ages Available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One?
Not Available on Xbox One
At launch, Doom: The Dark Ages will not be available on older generations such as the Xbox One, and so players are encouraged to boot the game on the other available platforms instead.

Unlike its previous installments, Doom: The Dark Ages will not be available on the Playstation 4. There have been no announcements from id Software's end on whether it will be in the future.
Is Doom: The Dark Ages Steam Deck Verified?

Doom: The Dark Ages will be playable on the Steam Deck at launch, though how the performance will fare is up in the air. Given the beefy requirements needed to run Doom: The Dark Ages, the Steam Deck may struggle in rendering the game.
While the CPU and GPU requirements are quite high, Valve has done wonders in the past for optimizing games on the Steam Deck. Currently, the biggest hurdle for this PC Handheld is that it does not reach the minimum requirement for VRAM.
That said, Valve has been incredibly clever in the past in making the Steam Deck optimized to run games far beyond what was thought possible.

Best Played on the PS5
Doom: The Dark Ages requires so much more rendering power than its predecessors thanks to id Software's latest id Tech 8, a game engine built specifically for the latest installment. Though it lets the game be more visually and technologically impressive, the PC requirements are no joke.
To avoid the headaches of worrying whether your PC specs are good enough, Doom: The Dark Ages is best enjoyed on the PS5. On top of being able to fully utilize the new game engine, id Software's decision of releasing to the PS5 let them focus entirely on making it highly optimized for that hardware, instead of worrying over what the PS4 is capable of.
