 Nightmare Combat Shotgun |
The Nightmare Combat Shotgun skin is obtained from a Secret in Chapter 1: Village of Khalim. The secret can be reached by sprint jumping off a cliff towards a doorway, and it's located at the area before you get the Shredder. Once you get close to it, it will become inaccessible until you defeat the newly spawned enemies in the area.

After the first objective, take the right passageway from the Atlan and continue until you reach the Hell Cannon. Afterward, scale the cliff that leads to the Wraithstone. just before the drop you'll obtain the Cycler Nightmare Skin.

Complete the Clusterfun Mastery Challenge. Clusterfun: Cause secondary Fragment and Cataclysm damage to demons with the Grenade Launcher cluster grenades 100 times. |

Accessible through a blue portal, leading to an area littered with enemies. Defeat all the demons and head to the upper area, where you will find the Grenade Launcher weapon skin and a Wraithstone beside it.

In the same area as where Ruby 3 can be found, the weapon skin is nearby. Jump down the platform and follow a trail of gold to lead you to a locked gate nearby that uses the Purple Key. This will reveal the Nightmare Impaler Skin.

It can be seen in the same area as Gold Trail 3. Proceed further into the secret area. This is obtained during the second objective.

After dropping down to the command room, you'll notice a secret item behind a locked gate to your left. Find the breakable wall near the hologram at the center of the room to get to the path that leads to this collectible.

The weapon skin is nearby the Secret Area. At the base of the temple, head towards the far side to find a portal . Enter, but before dropping down to the Secret Area, look to the sides for a crevice . Inside will lead to the Nightmare Rocker Launcher Skin.

Complete the Engorge Mastery Challenge. Engorge: Heal yourself with the Cannibalism upgrade from close range blasts of the Rocket Launcher 50 times. |

Complete the Burster Mastery Challenge. Burster: Cause secondary Pincushion or Ricochet damage to demons with the Rail Spike Shredder. |
 Nightmare Shredder |
The Nightmare Shredder is obtainable in a Secret Area in Chapter 2: Hebeth. In the area where you were first introduced with the Shield Recall Jump mechanic, go up the wall next to the Sentinel Shrine and look for some stacked boxes that lead to a climable vent. Follow the path until you reach the end of the vent to receive the skin. The area will spawn demons, so beware!

How to Change Skins
Change Skins in the Extras Menu
Navigate to the Main Menu and select the Extras option. From there, you can access Weapon Skins, Slayer Skins, Atlan Skins, and Dragon Skins. Choose which skin you want to eqiuip for each of these four categories in the menu.
What are Skins in Doom: The Dark Ages?
Changes Appearance
Skins or cosmetics change the appearance of a weapon, your character, or other elements in the game. They do not give any advantages that help you clear the game more efficiently, aside from it looking better than the base skin.
