Doom: The Dark Ages will not feature cross-platform or cross-play. Unlike its previous installments, Doom: The Dark Ages will not feature any multiplayer modes as the developers intended to focus on the single-player aspect of the game.

Doom Dark Ages - Cross-Progression

Players can play and have cross-progression in Doom: The Dark Ages between Xbox Series X/S and PC via Battle.net. Steam and PS5 players will not share this cross-progression between the other platforms.

According Battle.net's shop page, players who purchase Doom:The Dark Ages for either Battle.net or Xbox will be able to play on both platforms by linking their Battle.net and Xbox accounts.

How to Link Battle.net and Xbox Accounts

Doom Dark Ages - How to Link Step 1
Open the Battle.net launcher and log-in your account.
Step 2
Doom Dark Ages - How to Link Step 2
Click the Battle.net icon on the top left to open the menu and select Account. This will lead to a browser opening.
Step 3
Doom Dark Ages - How to Link Step 3
Select Connections and look for Xbox Network and click the +Connect on its right side. This will lead to signing-in to your Microsoft account.
Step 4
Doom Dark Ages - How to Link Step 4
Log-in your Xbox account and select Agree to finally connect your Battle.net and Xbox accounts.
