Players who purchase the Premium and Collector's Bundle edition of Doom: The Dark Ages will gain a 2-day early access. This will make the game available for preload or pre-install on May 11, 2025 - four days prior to the game's official release date.

PS5 Xbox Series X/S PC (Steam and Battle.net)

PS5 Preload

Preload Doom: The Dark Ages in the PS5 by first preordering the game from the PlayStation store. Upon purchase, you can head to your library, store page, your home page. From there, you should be able to select the option to preload or pre-install the game.

The PS5 will also feature a countdown to when you can preload or pre-install the game.

Xbox Series X | S Preload

First, you will need to pre-order Doom: The Dark Ages from the Xbox Store or from the Xbox App. Once you have purchased the game, head to your library or available titles in the app and select it to preload or pre-install the game.

This works from the app when you click Download to Console and allows you to prepare the game long before its official release date.

PC Preload for Steam and Battle.net

Pre-order Doom: The Dark Ages from the respective launcher's store page and head to your library. The button to pre-install the game will remain greyed out if it is not yet available. Once ready, simply click it to preload or pre-install the game.

PC Required Space is 100 GB

According to the Steam store page of Doom: The Dark Ages, 100 GB of available space is required to be able to install and play the game.

Console Required Space is 84 GB

The base game of Doom: The Dark Ages requires around 84 GB to be installed in consoles. However, an extra 17.5 GB is required if players who purchase the Premium Edition opt to install the digital artbook bonus.
