When to Use Strong I Formation

Run Through the Strong Side While Keeping Wide Receive Options

A variation of I Form with the expected 2 Wide Receivers and a Halfback lined up behind the Quarterback. The main difference here is the Fullback starts towards the strong side of the field.

Strong I is geared towards Running Plays that break through the Defense due to the Fullback's position on the strong side, but still maintains the option for Wide Receives.
