How to Beat Forgo Dedede
Recommended Copy Ability

Use Blizzard Ice to Complete All Missions
The Blizzard Ice copy ability allows you to freeze Forgo Dedede, causing massive damage to his health. In addition, you can use the copy ability's basic attack to put out the fire tornadoes that he summons and guard against most attacks.
Attack Patterns

| Forgo Dedede has four attacks on the first phase: a close-range hammer combo, a fire tornado attack, a spinning attack, and a body slam from above.On the second phase, Forgo Dedede uses four different attacks: a rushing attack, a fire tornado attack, a body slam from above, and an inhhaling attack similar to Kirby's. |
Use Ice to Put Out the Fire Tornadoes
When Forgo Dedede summons fire tornadoes, you can use the Ice copy ability's basic attack to put them out.
Use Guard to Avoid Taking Damage
If you are using the upgraded Ice copy ability, you can press the L or R Buttons to guard against most of Forgo Dedede's attacks.
This comes in handy when attempting to complete the boss fight without taking any damage or if you find it difficult to dodge his attacks at the right time.
Hover to Avoid the Body Slam Attack
Similar to the fight with King Dedede in An Unexpected Beast King, you can hover over to avoid getting hit by the shockwave caused by the body slam attack.
Watch out for Forgo Dedede's shadow to avoid getting directly hit by the slam.
Freeze Forgo Dedede to Inflict Massive Damage
The Ice copy ability's basic attack allows you to freeze Forgo Dedede over time to inflict massive damage. You can use this after the boss performs an attack or when he starts to run on all fours in the second phase of the fight.
Run When Forgo Dedede Inhales
Forgo Dedede will perform an inhaling attack similar to Kirby's when his health is low. You can simply run in the opposite direction to avoid this attack and wait for him to stop before attacking.
