★Star Coin Farming / How to Get Rare Stones
Copy Abilities can be upgraded to increase their power in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Read on to find out how to power up abilities, which one to power up, and how many times you can upgrade them!
List of Contents
You can start powering up Kirby's Copy Abilities once you have finished the main story. Go to Waddle Dee's Weapon Shop and select the ability from the rack you wish to upgrade and press X. It will cost you both Star Coins and Rare Stones for the upgrades, so be sure to stock up throughout your play through!
Waddle Dee's Weapon Shop: How to Unlock and Things to Do
Powering up Copy Abilities is different from evolving them. Evolved copy abilites grant additional effects and sometimes have less Power and Rapid-Fire than its base form. They are available once you obtain the blueprint for the evolved ability.
Evolved Abilities: How to Evolve Copy Abilities
The number of times you can power up an ability depends on its current power level. If the power level is at 1, you can upgrade it up 5 times until it reaches the max level, which is displayed as a 5 with a rainbow effect. Note that upgrading will only increase the power level and not the rapid-fire level of the ability.
You should generally focus on upgrading the final evolution of Copy Abilities, as they have the highest base stats, and give better additional effects than their base form. It will be worth upgrading them, as they can help you progress in the game more easily, especially on post-game levels.

Toy Hammer | Morpho Knight Sword | Masked Hammer |
If you're unsure which one of the final evolution of abilities to power up, you can prioritize these three abilities first. They're the most useful ones when going back to clear missed missions and progressing through the Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams and Ultimate Cup Z.
