Starry Stages uses 12 Stages from different areas and will become available after completing the Natural Plains area. You will be able to access specific areas that are not accessible in the base game in the Starry Stages.
After completing all Starry Stages, the Fallen-Star Volcano stage will be unlocked and allow you to fight the Final Boss of the Star-Crossed World DLC!
How to Start Star-Crossed World DLC
How to Clear the Starry Stages
Reach the End of the Stage
You need to reach the end of the stage to clear it and unlock the next one. Rescuing all Starries in each stage is optional but is required for collecting all the DLC Gotcha Figures and get closer to the DLC 100% Completion.
Starry Stage Rewards
Unlock New Stages
Completing a Starry Stage for the first time unlocks the succeeding stage. In addition, the Starries you rescue prevents the Star of Darkness from coming back to life.
Unlock New Figures
Like the base stages of the game, you will be able to find Figures as you try to complete a Starry Stage. You will get the new figures from the EX Vol 1. and EX Vol. 2 collections instead of the figures from the base collection.
Figures in the Starry Stages are usual locked behind a puzzle or hidden rooms, so make sure to keep an eye out for them!
Gotcha Machine EX: List of DLC Figures
Obtain Starry Coins
Starry Coin is the new currency for the Star-Crossed World DLC. Starry Coins are all over the Starry Stages and mostly appear when you solve a puzzle or find hidden items and locations in your playthrough.
You can use the Starry Coin to get new figures in from the EX. Vol. 1 and EX Vol. 2. You can also use it to on the The Ultimate Cup Z EX, which is the new Colosseum Cup, if you die during the run.
