All Ice abilities can skate over lava and mud, which makes them useful when traversing through the many stages of the game. Make sure you are constantly moving as you skate over the terrain since stopping will cause you to sink.

How to Power Up (Upgrade) Abilities

If there are no enemies in your current stage that give this ability, you can still obtain it through Mix. When you inhale 2 or more enemies that give different copy abilities, Kirby will cycle through all his current abilities and select one at random.
