The True Ending can be unlocked after completing all Isolated Isles stages in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Read on to learn how many of Leon's Souls are required to unlock the the True Ending!
There are two endings in Kirby and the Forgotten Land: one seen after completing Lab Discovera and another seen by completing Forgo Land in the Isolated Isles.
In the regular ending, Kirby and Elfilin defeat Fecto Elfilis. However, this doesn't stop the boss from creating a portal to crash Planet Popstar down into the Forgotten Land.
To close the portal, Elfilin seals the rift between the two worlds, leaving him on the other side. The credits scene later shows him traveling from Planet Popstar and reuniting with Kirby once more.
In the True Ending, Kirby and Elfilin travel to another dimension called Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams to collect Leongar's souls and rescue him. They find him in Forgo Land, possesed by Soul Forgo.
Kirby and Elfilin defeat the possesed Leongar, which causes Soul Forgo to reveal itself. It absorbs a nearby butterfly, becoming Morpho Knight in the process. Once Morpho Knight is defeated in a boss fight, all the beasts appear and help restore Leongar's soul.
To unlock the True Ending, you need to complete Lab Discovera, the final stage of the main story. This includes defeating the three bosses and seeing the credits scene.
Completing this stage unlocks the Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams, a series of post-game levels that are more difficult compared to the main story stages.
After unlocking the Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams, you need to collect Leon's souls throughout the six stages to unlock the last stage, Forgo Land.
Forgo Land requires you to face three tough bosses back to back, so be sure to upgrade your Copy Abilities and have a Maxim Tomato on hand before starting the stage.
Similar to how a certain number of Waddle Dees were needed from each area to reach that area's boss, you'll need at least 250 pieces of Leon's Soul in order to reach the final stage.
Since this means you'll need to get at least 80 to 90% of each stages souls, you'll generally want to scour all areas thoroughly. Luckily, you'll receive a message each time you find all souls within an area!
