Purchase Weapons at the Shop

The best use for Gold is to purchase new and stronger Weapons, which increase your Attack damage. It is of utmost importance to invest in these to give your troops higher base damage on the battlefield.

Purchase Accessories at the Shop

The second best use for Gold is to purchase Accessories, which are an assortment of armor that raise the rest of your stats such as HP, Defense, Technique, and Luck, which are necessary to increase your survivability and effectiveness in combat.

Upgrade Base's Facilities

Gold can be used to upgrade the Base's facilities. These upgrades are tied to sub quests that appear alongside the main storyline and can increase your Mercenary Unit Rank by giving you Badge rank level ups.

Higher Badge Ranks can increase your stats or unlock new weapons, items and skills at the home base, which is pretty significant.

Purchase Materials at the Shop

Materials like Gold Bars (Electrum) can be purchased from a Rank 5 Shop, after upgrading the Base's facilities. These Materials are then used to upgrade your Magilumic Orbs.

Upgrade Magilumic Orbs

Once you've acquired enough Gold and Materials, you can finally upgrade your Magilumic Orbs. These upgrades will increase the power or effectiveness of these summons.

Upgrading your Magilumic Orbs is of the least importance, since these skills are already very powerful in combat.

Where to Get More Money

Play Practice Battles

Practice Battles are the fastest way to farm Gold in DioField Chronicle. You can replay any past mission in Practice Battle and earn its corresponding Gold reward over and over again. If you missed any of the additional rewards, Practice Battle also allows you to earn them so long as you complete the optional objectives.

Practice Battle is unlocked by completing the Coswell Volcano Expedition mission in Chapter 1 and can be accessed at any time simply by interacting with the Practice Battle table at the Elm Camp.
