There are multiple Status and Strengthening Effects in DioField Chronicle that can get a bit confusing to keep up with. Read on to learn about all Status and Strengthening Effects, an explanation of each one, how to use them, and the best times to use them!

Poison | HP decreases by 5% when the target attacks or uses a skill. Ends when the target acts 5 times or after 60 seconds. |
Burn | HP decreases by 1% every 0.5 seconds. Ends after 8 seconds. |
Stun | Makes the target unable to act. Ends after 3 seconds. |
Freeze | Makes the target unable to act. Ends after 8 seconds. |
Sleep | Makes the target unable to act. Ends when the target takes damage or after 60 seconds. |
Delay | Decreases movement, auto attack, and cooldown speed by 50%. Ends after 20 seconds. |
Immobilised | Makes the target unable to move, except via skills that allow movement. Ends after 10 seconds. |
Weakness | Decreases damage dealt by 50%. Ends after 20 seconds. |
Wither | Increases damage taken by 50%. Ends after 20 seconds. |
Provoke | Makes the target attack the user. Ends after 8 seconds. |
Status Effects are temporary ailments inflicted on units either through Skills or through Passive Abilities.
There are various types of Status Effects ranging from slowing enemies down, inflicting damage-over-time debuffs, or even just casting a root, preventing units from moving.
Note that while these Status Effects are effective against your foes, some of the stronger enemies can dish out the same debilitating debuffs against your party.

Rapidity | Increases movement, auto attack, and cooldown speed by 50%. Ends after 20 seconds. |
Strengthening Effects, on the other hand, are meant to buff and enhance units. These are ideal for multiple situations such as facing an enemy with high health, taking on multiple enemies at once, or moving from one place to the next swiftly.
You can tell if the skill description contains Status Effects by the appearance of icons!
Status and Strengthening Effects are tied to certain skills and passive abilities. Make sure to check the description of each equipped skill by viewing the details of your Character in the Equipment Screen.
Additionally, there are certain skills that can obtain Status or Strengthening Effects through skill upgrades. If you're leaning towards certain classes for your team comps, make sure to take full advantage of their skill and upgrade them to have Status & Strengthening Effects!
