Best Stats to Prioritize

HP and Defence for Soldiers

The DioField Chronicle - Soldiers
Soldiers serve as the Tanks of your party. Their primary skill provokes enemies, so it is preferred to build your Soldiers to be beefy tanks by upping their defence and HP reserves.

Attack for Cavaliers and Sharpshooters

The DioField Chronicle - Sharpshooter
Cavaliers and Sharpshooters will be your main damage-dealers, as they strike enemies from behind with Ambush damage, while your Soldier tanks the hits. Because of this, it is vital that they have the highest Attack in the party.

EP and Technique for Magickers

The DioField Chronicle - Magicker
Magickers will be your main skill users, as they have magic skills that can hit a large number of enemies and deal tons of damage from far away. You'd also need a huge reserve of EP to use for healing, as healing mid-battle is very hard to come by.

Do Adjutant Units' Stats Matter?

Only the Unit Leader's Stats Matter

A Unit's stats is dictated only by the Leader. The Adjutant only grants additional active skills, when paired with a Leader. Therefore, you should pick and choose your Leader based on their stats, and the adjutant based on their skills.
