How to Respec

You can respec your spent Skill and Ability Points in DioField Chronicle by paying Gold to redistribute them. Read on to learn how to respec, including info on which upgrades can be reset and the respective respec costs for Skills and Abilities!

How to Respec

Go to the Skill Tree or Ability Menu to Respec

In order to respec Skills, you must first go to Institute, select Skill Tree, then choose the option to Reset SP.

For Abilities, you must first open the Menu, go to Equipment, select your Character, open their Abilities tree, then choose the option to Reset AP.

Press Square to Reset SP or AP

After reaching the respective menus of Skills or Abilities, you can then opt to reset points you have allocated by pressing the square button. From there, confirm if you would like to reset all the Skills or Abilities you've acquired and check the respec fee that you will have to cover.

After complying to reset your points and paying the respective respec cost, you will earn back all the points you've used up for the given Skill or Ability tree.

What Can You Respec?

You Can Only Respec Skills and Abilities

While there are multiple things you can upgrade in the game, such as Weapon Development, Magilumic Orb Research, and the like, you can only reset what you've allotted for Skills and Abilities.

Is Paying the Respec Fee Worth It?

While the option to reset points for Skills and Abilities is there, it is recommended that you allot your SP and AP as efficiently as possible so as to prevent spending more money than necessary to reach endgame builds.

You Cannot Respec Weapon Development

Weapon Development upgrades cannot be reset and Gold Bars (Electrum) are scarce up until you have reached & unlocked the option to purchase them from Shop Rank 5. Make sure to plan your Weapon Development upgrades accordingly since missteps will cost a lot of Gold to rectify.
