Story Walkthrough: List of All Chapters
When you finish the game, you will be able to save your endgame progress to a file slot, which will be labeled with the word CLEAR to show that the game was completed.
Do not delete the file marked CLEAR, or you will be unable to start a new file on New Game Plus! A file saved during New Game Plus will be marked with a ★, and these files cannot be used to start a new New Game Plus file, so be careful not to overwrite the CLEAR file.

All upgrades to characters and facilities, as well as all items and equipment, are automatically available in New Game Plus. However, the characters and facilities themselves are not available until they are unlocked, so you won't be able to use your dream team right away from the start of the game.
A file which has completed New Game Plus shows both a CLEAR and a ★ mark, but it's a stretch to call it a Reward.
There are no rewards for finishing a full playthrough of New Game Plus, nor are there any Trophies or Achievements which require playing it. There also aren't any Missables in the game, so you won't need to use New Game Plus to get a chance to experience something you missed.
It's possible to complete all of the game's available content without New Game Plus, making it entirely optional to complete.
Although there are a few reasons to play New Game Plus as detailed below, it's easier to finish all the Trophies on a completed save file rather than starting a new save file on New Game Plus. In particular, your completion of Bonus Rewards from Missions does not carry over, forcing you to redo hordes of side missions on a New Game Plus file if you didn't already get 100 for the Legendary Tactician Trophy.
If you're aiming for 100% completion in the game, New Game Plus should not be your first option.
All Trophies and Achievements: How to Unlock
Certain pieces of equipment, such as the Blue Fox Emblem, can only be obtained once in the story. As the equipment carries over to New Game Plus, playing through the story again will allow you to obtain multiple of these equipment pieces. Equipment passive abilities stack with themselves, so players can enjoy making creative builds with them.
These three Materials are only obtained as rewards from Quests or in the Shop after reaching Shop Badge Rank 5. Since they are rather expensive in the shop and a limited number are obtainable as rewards in one playthrough, doing New Game Plus will allow you to obtain these rewards again and easily farm them.
The Collector Trophy, which requires you to collect 15 types of weapon in a category, is easier to get in New Game Plus as you can farm the needed Materials more easily as well.
Although it's possible to unlock Unit Rank 9 on a single playthrough, New Game Plus provides an easy opportunity and there's no scaling up of Unit Rank during the story, so the early Missions increase Unit Rank just as fast as later Missions. We were able to climb from Unit Rank 7 to Unit Rank 9 just by completing Chapter 1 of New Game Plus.
