The Type of a Monster will determine what Oil it is weak against. For example, Monsters of the Necrophage Type will receive 10% extra damage from Swords coated in Necrophage oil.

The best way to deal with Beann'shies is to wait for their melee attack and dodge sideways then attack it multiple times before it screams. Once a Beann'shie screams, it will summon multiple skeleton soldiers to fight for it. When this happens quickly kill the multiple skeleton soldiers in order for the Beann'shie to reappear.
You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Specter oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare bombs that can damage multiple enemies at once like the Grapeshot Bomb and the Dancing Star Bomb to quickly kill the summoned skeleton soldiers.
