How to Fight Wyverns

How to Fight

The best way to deal with Wyverns is to force them down to the ground then stun them to make them open to attacks. You can do this by hitting them with special crossbow bolts, hitting them with the Aard Sign, or throwing a Grapeshot Bomb to force them down to the ground. Once they are on the ground, you can throw additional Grapeshot bombs to stun them for a decent amount of time and attack them from behind.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Draconid oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some special crossbow bolts and Grapeshot Bombs to help you force the Wyvern down to the ground. Ready a Golden Oriole Potion incase you get poisoned from their attacks.

Special Sign Effects

  • Aard - Hitting them with this Sign will force them down to the ground or stun them for a decent amount of time opening them for attacks.
  • Yrden - If they are inside a Yrden Trap or affected by the Alternate Sign effect after stunning them, this can significantly slow them down from recovering.
