Due to its versatility and overall usefulness, we recommend investing points into this skill as soon as possible. This skill will greatly help you throughout your quest, and is useful in many builds, so be sure to learn/level this skill. If you have extra points and do not know where to invest them, this is a solid option.
This skill also helps you in a way that you won't need to rely on meditating, eating food, or consuming potions to regain HP. Even if the effect is miniscule, it can help you a lot since you mostly do exploration early in the game.
If you are still very early in the game and do not know where to spend your skill points, then you should definitely get this skill. Having a passive HP regeneration that never expires is always good when doing almost anything in the game.

I don't understand exactly what the question is, but if you're asking if it works on Death March, then yes, but the effect is quite negligible. One or two hits kill you, and you can't recover that amount quickly unless you idle for a while.
