Dinosaurs can be found in an underground jungle beneath the Devastated Lands. These areas are usually accessible near mountains with lava formations, which often have openings that lead underground. The cave system below is large and jungle-like, featuring trees, plants, and a lake.

The exact location is randomized, so you will need to look for circular orange blocks on the map around Devastated Lands. And if you've had your world before Update 1, you may have to venture farther, as the area will only appear in newly loaded chunks.
