Equip Thorium Gear
The Howling Sands is rich in Thorium Ore, which can be found along cliff faces, at several mining sites, and underground. Take your time to mine and upgrade your equipment, as this will help you withstand the Sandswept Golem’s attacks and deal significant damage in return.
Sword and Shield Combo
The best way to deal with the Sandswept Golem in close combat is to use a sword and shield. The Sandswept Golem hits hard, especially its Spinning Attack, which can drain your health quickly if you are not careful. It is critical to block its attacks with your shield and counterattack with your sword.
It is also important to manage your stamina while blocking. Stop blocking when your stamina is low and keep your distance to avoid taking damage.
Use Ranged Attacks
One advantage you can exploit against the Sandswept Golem is its slow movement. You can effectively use ranged weapons, such as shortbows or crossbows, to deal damage from a distance. Sprint away if it gets too close, as it will not be able to catch up immediately.
Where to Find Sandswept Golem
Forgotten Temple Gateway in Howling Sands
The Sandswept Golem guards the Forgotten Temple Gateway in the Howling Sands. The temple usually has Cyan Crystal Shards on top of the entrance and in front of the statue. Be wary of the surroundings, as aggressive mobs may spawn in the area.
The exact location is randomized, so look for a single circular brown area that resembles an anthill on the map around the Howling Sands.

The Sandswept Golem can perform an Overhead Strike in two ways. It may swing both arms downward together, or raise a single arm to strike from above.

The Sandswept Golem can perform a Punch Attack by swinging one arm straight toward the player.
Stomp Attack
The Sandswept Golem can perform a Stomp Attack by lifting one foot and slamming them down on the ground. This attack deals a small area damage around its foot.
