Throw a Healing Totem to deploy an AoE healing effect in Hytale. Learn how to use Healing Totems and how to craft Healing Totems in this guide!

How to Use Healing Totems

Press Left Click to Deploy an AoE Healing Effect

To use Healing Totems, press Left Click to throw one, deploying a circular AoE healing effect that heals you and everyone in your party within the radius. The totem lasts for 10 seconds and can heal up to +32 HP. Healing Totems are ideal support items, allowing you to heal everyone with a single item.

You can only deploy one Healing Totem at a time. At the moment, Healing Totems also appear to be infinite once crafted, though this may be patched in the future.

Build and Upgrade Workbench

Item Requirements
WorkbenchWorkbench Tier 1 ・Any Tree Log x4
・Any Stone x3
WorkbenchWorkbench Tier 2 ・Copper Ingots x30
・Iron Ingots x20
・Linen Scraps x20

First build a Workbench, then upgrade it to Tier 2. Crafting a Workbench only requires 4 Any Tree Log and 3 Any Stone. Upgrading the Workbench then requires 30 Copper Ingots, 20 Iron Ingots, and 20 Linen Scraps.

Craft an Arcanist's Workbench

Item Requirements
ArcanistArcanist's Workbench ・Thorium Ingot x10
・Linen Scraps x30
・Essence of the Void x20

Once you have the Workbench upgraded to Tier 2, craft an Arcanist's Workbench. This requires 10 Thorium Ingot, 30 Linen Scraps, and 20 Essence of the Void.

The Arcanist's Workbench allows you to craft arcane or magic items, includding Teleporters, Crystal Staffs, and both the Slowing Totem and Healing Totem.

Item Requirements
Healing TotemHealing Totem ・Essence of Life x50
・Thorium Ingot x20
・Greater Health Potion x20

Now that you have an Arcanist's Workbench, you can craft a Healing Totem. This requires 50 Essence of Life, 20 Thorium Ingot, and 20 Greater Health Potion.

Essence of Life can be easily harvested from crops, while Thorium Ingots are obtained by processing Thorium Ores, which are commonly found in desert biome cliffs. Greater Health Potions can be crafted using an Alchemist’s Workbench, though obtaining all 20 can be grindy.
