How to Roll Guide

Rolling in Hytale can be performed by pressing left control while in mid-air during a fall. Read on to learn more about how to roll in Hytale.

How to Roll

Press Left Control While Falling

To perform a landing roll, press Left Ctrl while in mid-air. A roll is only doable when your character falls from a certain height (eight blocks and higher).

Pressing Left Control when your character is standing or running will result in different actions; namely crouching and sliding, respectively.

Effects of Rolling

Negates and Mitigates Fall Damage

If you fall from a height of eight-ten blocks and successfully perform a landing roll, you will not receive any damage as the roll negates the impact. However, if you fall from a greater height, the damage will only be mitigated.

Executing a roll to break your fall is especially handy during combat, as it helps prevent HP loss.
