The Goblin Duke is a boss found in a goblin dungeon beneath an overworld ruin in the Emerald Wilds in Hytale. Read on to learn how to beat the Goblin Duke, where to find it, and what drops and rewards it offers.

Take Out Other Mobs First
Several goblins patrol the area, so eliminate them quickly to avoid getting overwhelmed during the boss fight. Try to lure them away from the boss and deal with them at a distance.
Avoid Projectiles by Blocking or Strafing
The Goblin Duke attacks using projectiles. A glowing animation on its sword signals the attack, with a slight delay before it is released, giving you time to react. You can block the projectile with a shield or strafe sideways to avoid taking damage.
Use Ranged Attacks
The Goblin Duke moves slowly and has intervals and delays between attacks. Take advantage of this by using ranged weapons such as shortbows or crossbows to deal damage from a distance. Staying at range also gives you a clear view of when it will attack, allowing you to dodge or block them in time.
Where to Find Goblin Duke
Goblin Dungeon Beneath Overworld Ruin in Emerald Wilds
The Goblin Duke can be found in a goblin dungeon hidden deep beneath an overworld ruin in the Emerald Wilds. Inside the ruin, you’ll find a passage leading underground. Follow the tunnels to reach the Goblin Duke’s lair. The lair is filled with treasure, with a throne atop a pile of loot where the boss rests.
The exact location is randomized, so look for a large overworld ruin on the map around the Emerald Wilds.
Goblin Duke Attack Patterns
Projectile Attack
The Goblin Duke can perform a Projectile Attack where it hurls a small energy orb, telegraphed by a glowing charge-up animation that appears as either ice or fire. Despite the visual effects, this attack does not inflict elemental damage.
Goblin Duke Drops and Rewards
No Direct Drops and Rewards
Upon defeating the Goblin Duke, it does not drop any loot directly. However, you can optionally break and take the Treasure Pile in the arena, which can be used as decor.
