How to Fight the Weavess

You will encounter this fight during the Main Quest: Bald Mountain. This fight makes you use Ciri and also includes the Whispess and the Brewess. You can also encounter a fight with the Weavess as Geralt during one of the epilogues in the Main Quest: Something Ends, Something Begins.

How to Fight as Ciri

The best way to deal with the Weavess as Ciri is to eliminate the Brewess and the Whispess first. Once you are able to do this, you can keep hitting the Weavess and abuse Ciri's teleporting attack once it reappears after turning into crows.

How to Fight as Geralt

The best way to deal with the Weavess as Geralt is to quickly clear all of its accompanying Necrophages first then seal the Weavess' teleporting and attack it. You can do this by throwing bombs like the Grapeshot Bomb and the Dancing Star Bomb to quickly deal with the Necrophages and leave the Weavess alone.

Once the Weavess is alone, you can throw a Moon Dust Bomb at it to seal its teleporting move and you can rush in and attack it relentlessly.

What Preparations to Make?

You can only make these preparations as Geralt. You cannot make or use any of these preparations when you are using Ciri.

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Relict oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare bombs than can damage multiple enemies at once like the Grapeshot Bomb and the Dancing Star Bomb. Also, prepare a few Moon Dust Bombs to seal away the teleporting move of the Weavess.

Special Sign Effects

  • Igni - This can be used to ignite the accompanying Necrophages to quickly deal with them. This can also be used to burn the Weavess for a moment to get a few attacks in.
  • Yrden - This can be used to slow down the multiple Necrophages if you are having trouble getting swarmed by them.
