Attack is the Best Defense is sometimes worth investing points

We recommend investing into this ability if it works with the build you are running. Although this skill will not be quite as useful as some of the other skills, it certainly has its uses, and it certainly will not hurt to have. While it may seem a bit niche, you can invest into this skill if you have already built your more important skills, and have extra points to spend.

The skill's effect is undermined because the most amount of Adrenaline you can get is through counterattacks. Counterattacking in the game is difficult since you need to have multiple other skill to be able to counterattack most enemies.

This skill will be the most effective when battling humans and non-humans. The amount of preparation you need in order to counterattack humans and non-humans is close to none.

Other than using counterattacks to gain Adrenaline, you can still gain Adrenaline with a slightly slower pace by dodging and rolling away.

Conclusion

If you play very defensively during combat, then you should invest in this skill. Having this skill equipped would mean that you prefer doing combat with a high survivability rate.
