Spicy - Damage Enemies Over Time

Spicy Damage Attack

Spicy damage is the earliest element you can obtain, dealing a burning damage over time effect to enemies with its Sizzle effect.

Many bugs are weak to Spicy, including Orb Weavers and Red Ants.

How to Deal Spicy Damage

You can deal Spicy damage by using weapons equipped with the Sizzle Mod. Weapons such as the Scorching Orb staff also inflict direct Spicy damage with their hits, not just through an added effect.

Fresh - Chill and Freeze Enemies

Fresh Damage Attack

Fresh, obtainable after exploring the northern areas of the map, is a freezing cold damage element that freezes and slows affected enemies. Bugs such as Bombardier Beetles and Mosquitos are weak to it.

Deal Fresh damage using weapons with the Chilling Effect mod. Weapons like the Glacial Sting inflict direct Fresh damage, while melee options like the Ice Sickles deal slashing damage with an added Fresh effect.

Sour - TBD

Winter Update Sour 2.0

Sour damage is not yet available in the current early access build. While Sour Candies can be found around the world, they cannot be harvested without the Omni Hammer III, which is also unavailable.

The official Roadmap for the Winter Update shows a Sour 2.0 magic damage type to be included, hinting at new properties for the Sour magic type.
