Complete Ranger Challenges

Ranger Challenges

The best way to get Raw Science quickly is to complete Ranger Challenges. These challenges involve various tasks—such as crafting, building, and eliminating creatures—that directly award a varied amount of Raw Science upon completion.

There will always be three Ranger Challenges unlocked and available to you at any given time, and they are activated automatically. Ranger Challenges are first encountered during the Onboarding quest and can be accessed via Ranger Stations.

Pick Up Raw Science in Overworld

Raw Science

The easiest way to gain Raw Science is to pick up its orbs while exploring the overworld. These are the pink, round blobs you'll see scattered in various locations, each granting either 100 or 500 Raw Science.

Always Use Resource Analyzer After Getting a New Resource

Resource Analyzer

When you find a new resource in the game, make sure to always analyze it with the Resource Analyzer. The first analysis of any new discovery (such as new plants, creature parts, or unique minerals) gives you 30 Raw Science, making this your primary method to quickly gain more and providing a valuable boost to your research.

Buy Recipes in the Science Shop

Raw Science is primarily used at the Science Shop, where you can buy essential recipes for cooking and construction. Getting these recipes is vital for your progression and expanding your base.

Upgrade Omni-Tools to Higher Tiers

Raw Science is also used to upgrade your Omni-Tools to higher tiers, along with other resources. Upgrading enhances your tools' durability, making them last longer when gathering.
