Fall Update Release Date
Expected in Late 2025
While there's still no specific release date, the Fall Update of Grounded 2 is expected to be released later in 2025.
If Grounded 1 is to be followed, its first content update was released in September 2020, with the Koi Pond update following in November of the same year. It should be safe to assume that the Fall Update will be released between September and November.

According to Obsidian's Early Access roadmap, Grounded 2's Fall Update revolves around the introduction of a creature called AXL, which is speculated to be a Tarantula. There will also be QOL improvements and new language support.
AXL Is Rumored to Be a Tarantula Boss
Among the content releasing in the Fall Update are several items related to AXL, which includes AXL Recipes, AXL's Arena, and AXL: Park Boss.
The Grounded 2 community theorizes that AXL could be a Tarantula, based on a reference in the Empty Terrarium located south of the Ceremony region. On top of the Empty Terrarium is a label with “AXL” written on it and a red tarantula sticker marked “DANGER”.
