An Egg Storage in Grounded 2 is used for storing buggy eggs to prevent them from rotting. Learn what is an egg storage, how to build an egg storage, and what resources are needed to build it.

What is Egg Storage?
Storage for Eggs to Prevent Rotting
The Egg Storage in Grounded 2 is used for storing the spare Red Soldier Ant Eggs or Orb Weaver Eggs that you picked up to prevent them from rotting. If they turn into Rotten Eggs, you will not be able to hatch them anymore. The Egg Storage is especially useful when your Hatchery is occupied.
Buggy Eggs Turn Into Rotten Eggs After Several Days
Buggy Eggs, such as Red Soldier Ant Eggs or Orb Weaver Eggs, will turn into Rotten Eggs after several in-game days if they are not stored in an Egg Storage. Regular red ant eggs, however, cannot be placed in Egg Storage at all. You can craft them into Bratburst instead.

Build Egg Storage Through Contsruction Menu

To make an Egg Storage, first open the Construction menu (B on keyboard / D-pad Up on controller) and select the Egg Storage. Then, place it anywhere on your base and build it.
Building an Egg Storage requires 3 Pebblet, 3 Acorn Shell, 3 Mite Fuzz, and 2 Mint Shard.
Analyze Mint Shard to Unlock Egg Storage Blueprint
Analyzing a Mint Shard on the Resource Analyzer unlocks the Egg Storage blueprint. Mint Shards are obtained from breaking apart Fresh Mint candies.
