This guide will show you how to survive the cold in Grounded 2. Read on to learn what equipment to wear and food to eat to survive the cold.

Equip Chill Reduction Gear

Traversing snowy areas like the Ice Cream Cart inflicts Chilling, which slows you down the longer you stay, eventually leading to death from exposure. If you plan to explore snowy areas, we highly recommend crafting and equipping gear that grants Chill Reduction.

One of the earliest and easiest Chill Reduction gear that you can craft is the Mitey Muffs, which only cost 5 Mite Fuzz and 5 Grub Hide. If you want to survive the cold longer, you can also craft the Fuzzy Hat, Fuzzy Parka, and Fuzzy Mukluks. The recipe for the Fuzzy Set is unlocked after scanning Lingonberry Leather at the Resource Analyzer.

Eat Spicy Shard

Spicy Candy

Spicy Shards can also be used to counteract the Chilling effect. They are obtained from breaking down Spicy Candy with a Tier 2 Omni-Hammer. Consume Spicy Shards periodically to prevent yourself from getting frozen.

Drink Blazin' Brew Smoothie

Grounded 2 Blazin Brew

You can craft a Blazin' Brew Smoothie using the Smoothie Station. It grants Chill Reduction and Warm Up, which instantly reduces the amount of accumulated Chill. For maximum effect, drink a Blazin' Brew when your Chill meter is around 50-75%.

Crafting a base Blazin' Brew requires a Spicy Shard, Lingonberry Chunk, Apple Bits, and Grub Sludge.
