Grounded 2 Difficulty Differences
There are currently five difficulty modes to choose from in Grounded 2. Learn more about each difficulty mode, how they affect gameplay, and whether you can change the difficulty later.

Survival

Mode Gameplay Effects
Grounded 2 Mild IconMild Enemies do less damage and friendly fire is off. Recommended for first-time players.
Grounded 2 Medium IconMedium Enemies do moderate damage. You will have to manage your thirst, hunger, health, and stamina while fighting to survive.
Grounded 2 Whoa IconWhoa! Enemies are tougher, vitals are harder to manage, and everything breaks faster. Recommended for those looking for a challenge.

Creative

Mode Description
Grounded 2 Creative IconCreative Enemies will not be present. You can craft and explore without worrying about resource management or existential threats.
Grounded 2 Creative with Bugs IconCreative with Bugs Enemies will be present but not aggressive towards you. You can craft and explore without worrying about resource management or existential threats.

Custom

Mode Description
Grounded 2 Custom IconCustom An upcoming mode that lets you customize the game's difficulty to your preference.
