Grounded 2 does not support split-screen gameplay, just the like first Grounded game. Players need separate systems and their respective copies of the game in order to play together, as there's no feature allowing for two or more players to play on the same screen.

Online Multiplayer Features

Grounded 2 Multiplayer

With local co-op not available, Grounded 2 only supports online multiplayer with up to 4 players. As long as your friends have the game, you can connect with them and play Grounded 2 together. The 2 multiplayer mode options from Grounded 1 which are expected to return in the sequel are Standard World and Shared World.

In a Standard World, you create a server that your friends can join. Since you own it, its progression is saved onto your account. In a Shared World, the server can be hosted by anyone, with the drawback of the world being stored in only one online save.
