Catch Fireflies with Bottles in Forest Haven

Catching Fireflies

To get Forest Fireflies, head to Forest Haven and go to the area where the Deku Tree is. Look around for patches of grass, equip a Bottle, and use the item whenever you are near a firefly floating around the overworld.

Fireflies you can catch emit bright pink lights which are different from the yellow ones. If they fly away from Link, simply chase them around until you can catch them.

Given to Lenzo During Pictograph Quest

Pictograph Quest

The Forest Firefly is used during Lenzo's pictograph quest on Windfall Island. Here, you will be tasked to get three pictographs to upgrade your Picto Box into a Deluxe Picto Box.

This item is required to complete the quest in the original GameCube and Nintendo Switch Online version of the game, as Lenzo will ask for this item after submitting him the three requeested pictographs. In the HD remake version however, this item is not necessary to complete the quest, but you can still give Lenzo one to get a bonus Joy Pendant after completing the quest.
