How to Win in the Windfall Auction
Bid 20% Over Current Bid to Stun Villagers
The most effective way to win items that are sold during the auction is to bid 20% of the current bidding price to stun the other bidders. This will force them to stay confused for a few seconds, which prevents them from outbidding Link as the time winds down. Bid the same way again once the villagers recover.
This is a great way to secure the Swift Sail once it is up for grabs at the Auction House.
Save Money Before Joining Auctions
Bids can hurt your wallet a bit, so it is suggested to only try to join the auction when you have plenty of Rupees in your pocket.
If you need more Rupees with you, you can first upgrade your wallet to hold up to 5,000 more Rupees.
Auction House Guide
Mash A Button to Bid
Auctions will pit Link against Windfall Village inhabitants to bid for an item Zunari is selling. The entire auction is only held for one minute, so Link and the villagers only have a limited time to make bids.
During the auction, a meter will slowly fill up for you to make a bid, but you can mash the A button to fill it up faster. Other villagers will also make their own bids.
Once the meter is filled up, Zunari will ask you how much you want to bid. Select how much Rupees you want to bid.
Bid 999 Rupees to Win Auction
You can immediately get the item that is up for auction if you offer 999 Rupees from the start. Do note that this is not recommended as you can get the items for far less.
Items You Lost On Will Return
If Link fails to win the item, the villager with the highest bid will win the item, but this will be returned when you join another auction so you won't miss any item from this minigame.
Auctions Happen at Night
Zunari will only hold auctions at the Auction House on Windfall Island once you complete the Dragon Roost Cavern dungeon. These auctions happen every night, so you can use the Song of Passing to advance time if you do not want to wait for nighttime.

The list above shows all the possible items that Zunari can put up for auction. Once you win all the items, Zunari will mention that all items have been won and no auctions will take place again.

Next to Chu Jelly Juice Shop
The Auction House is found along the main alleyway of Windfall Island. It found inside the building with a red door located next to Doc Bandam's Chu Jelly Juice Shop.
