Take three pictographs on Windfall Island to complete Lenzo's quest in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Read on for a guide on how to complete the Picto Box quest and know the rewards you can get from it!

| 1 |  Obtain the Picto Box near Tingle's jail cell. ▶︎ How to Get the Picto Box |
| 2 |  Talk to Lenzo on Windfall Island. You can find him inside the building next to the schoolhouse. |
| 3 |  Head upstairs to check out Lenzo's gallery, then head back down to progress the conversation. You can go out of the building and reenter to skip the part where Lenzo has to go back dowstairs. |
| 4 |  Talk to Lenzo again and accept his request to be his pictograph assistant. He will then give you three tasks. |
| 5 |  The first task requires you to take an image of someone sending love letters. The villager your are looking for is Garrickson who is wearing red overalls. Head down to the docks, stand near the postbox, and wait for Garrickson to walk near the postbox. |
| 6 |  Use your Picto Box, aim it towards the postbox and Garrickson, and wait until he inserts a letter in the postbox. If you miss this scene, you need to wait for Garrickson to walk near the postbox again. |
| * | From here, you can head back to Lenzo and submit the pictograph or you can continue with the next tasks even without going back to Lenzo. |
| 7 |  For the second task, you need to take a photo of someone getting startled. Head to the Cafe Bar and you'll see Gossack in one of the tables. Pick up one of the blue jars and throw it near Gossack to startle him. |
| 8 |  While Gossack is shaking, bring out your Picto Box and take a picture of him. |
| 9 |  For the third task, you need to a photo of a couple who is secretly in love with each other. Go outside Lenzo's shop and you will see Linda and Anton near the area. |
| 10 |  Wait near the area and aim your Picto Box near Linda. Wait for Anton to walk beside Linda and take a photo once the two look at each other. |
| 11 |  Once done, head back to Lenzo and give him the three pictographs he requested. Completing all three will convince him that you can be his pupil. |
| * | In the original GameCube version of the game, Lenzo will give you a Joy Pendant for completing his requests, but you need to give him a Forest Firefly to fully complete the questline. In the HD remake version, he will immediately upgrade your Picto Box into Deluxe Picto Box. |
Forest Firefly Needed in GameCube Version
In the GameCube and Nintendo Switch Online version of the game, you also need to give Lenzo a Forest Firefly before you can complete the quest. To get a Forest Firefly, head to Forest Haven with an empty Bottle and use it to catch a firefly.
Once caught, head back to Windfall Island and give the item to Lenzo. He will then upgrade your Picto Box into a Deluxe Picto Box.
If you are playing HD remake, this step was removed, but you can still give Lenzo a Forest Firefly to get a Joy Pendant.
GameCube and Wii U Version Differences

Completing this quest will make Lenzo upgrade your Picto Box into the Deluxe Picto Box, which lets you take colored pictures instead of in black-and-white.
All Upgrades and How to Obtain Them
Joy Pendant
You can also get a Joy Pendant during this quest, but the way to obtain it is different depending on the version you are playing.
In the original GameCube and Nintendo Switch Online version, you will get the item after submitting all three pictographs to Lenzo, as he will need a Forest Firefly before he can upgrade your camera into a Deluxe Picto Box.
In the Wii U version however, Lenzo will upgrade your camera upon submitting the pictographs and will not require you to hand him a Forest Firefly, but you can still give him the item to get a bonus Joy Pendant.
