Northern Fairy IslandNorthern Fairy Island (C1) Bomb the large boulder blocking the way into the conch shell. Wallet Upgrade
Eastern Fairy IslandEastern Fairy Island (E3) Bomb the large boulder blocking the way into the conch shell. Bomb Bag Upgrade
Southern Fairy IslandSouthern Fairy Island (D6) Bomb the wooden gate blocking the way into the conch shell. Bomb Bag Upgrade
Outset IslandOutset Island (B7) Use the Deku Leaf to glide across the broken bridge in the Forest of Fairies. Wallet Upgrade
Mother & Child IslesMother & Child Isles (B2) Use the Ballad of Gales to warp into the Mother Isle. Fire/Ice Arrows Upgrade
Western Fairy IslandWestern Fairy Island (A3) Use the Skull Hammer on the peg and open the entrance of the large conch shell. Arrow Upgrade
Thorned Fairy IslandThorned Fairy Island (G4) Use the Skull Hammer on the three pegs to remove the thorn walls blocking the large conch shell. Arrow Upgrade

There are 8 Great Fairies that can be found in the Great Sea. Although most locations can be visited any time, you may need to progress the story further to unlock special equipment such as the Skull Hammer in order to meet a Great Fairy.

Great Fairies can provide upgrades to your equipment. Great Fairies are usually found inside secret caverns marked by a large conch shell. However, there are instances where this might not be the case such as the fairies in the Mother Isle and the Two-Eye Reef.
