| 1 | Recruit Eveline or Hugo. Ultimately you will have to recruit Eveline, but it is recomended to try and recruit Hugo first for more XP. |

| 1 | Go to Hugo's house marked in Oxenfurt. Knock on the door. |
| 2 | Use your Witcher Sense and inspect the footprints. Follow them. |
| 3 | Kill the 3 thugs at the end of the trail. |
| 4 | Loot the corpse. One of them will have Hugo Huff's ear and a soaked letter. |
| 5 | Swim to the marked location. Use your Witcher Sense to find Hugo's body. You will receive 150 XP |

| 1 | Go to the marked area south of Wheat Fields and find Eveline at the circus camp. |
| 2 | Ask to talk to her in private. Not doing so will make you spend more to get her to join you if you choose to pay her. |
| 3 | You can perform with them instead. Shoot the apples or just shoot Meryn to continue immediately. Or You can refund the tickers yourself. If you asked to speak privately, you will pay 400 crowns and receive 40 XP. If Meryn is still there, you will pay 600 crowns and gain 60 XP. |
