How to Fight Katakans

How to Fight

Fighting Katakans almost the same as dealing with an Ekimmara. The best way to deal with Katakans is to slow them down using the Yrden Sign trap or burning them with the Igni Sign. Fighting around the Yrden Sign trap will reveal the Katakan and significantly slow it down. You can also use Devil's Puffball Bomb to stop its regeneration once the Katakan activates it.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Vampire oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some Devil's Puffball Bombs to deal with its regeneration and Moon Dust Bombs if you have difficulty preventing it from becoming invisible.

Special Sign Effects

  • Igni - This can burn them helping you deal additional damage to the monster.
  • Yrden - This can significantly slow them down and reveal the monster while they are inside the trap's range.
