How to Fight a Cockatrice

How to Fight

The best way to deal with cockatrices is to stun them using different means and attacking them from behind. Cockatrices mostly fight on the ground but you should still prepare to cast the Aard Sign or throw a Grapeshot Bomb incase they take flight. It is possible to counterattack some if its attacks with perfect timing.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Draconid oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some Grapeshot Bombs to get them back to the ground while they are flying. Cast the Quen Sign to protect yourself from their heavy attacks.

Special Sign Effects

  • Aard - This will bring them back to the ground when they try to take flight or are currently flying.
  • Yrden - Yrden will sightly slow down their movement and attacks when they are on the ground.
