Due to its versatility and overall usefulness, we recommend investing points into this skill as soon as possible. This skill will greatly help you throughout your quest, and is useful in many builds, so be sure to learn/level this skill. If you have extra points and do not know where to invest them, this is a solid option.
Maxing out this skill will help you a lot against arrows in any difficulty no matter how strong the enemy is. Having the ability to fully deflect or possibly parry then reflect arrows is extremely useful. Not only is this skill very cheap and easy to get, you will never have to worry about combat scenarios with Crossbowmen.
If you cannot decide on what skill to get early in the game, you should get this skill. The benefits that you gain from this skill are worth it for its cost and accessibility.

IMO it's worth taking just the first level, to defend against archers when tackling human enemies. While the ability to reflect arrows back at the archer is cool, you won't be able to do so in the heat of battle. If the enemy has been thinned out sufficiently for you to be able to do this, you can also close in on the archer and finish him off at melee range.
