You can use the surroundings to your advantage during combat. Things like shooting lamps to cause it to explode and spread fire is a great way to deal with enemies quickly.
Always stay in or close to cover so you can hide while you reload or heal. Staying in the open means you'll take a lot of damage from enemy gunfire. Take your time and shoot from cover to survive and win shootouts.
When using a gun, it's best to aim for the enemy's head to kill them instantly with one shot. Be patient when aiming and wait for the circle to get smaller, this indicated your gun's current accuracy. You will be more accurate as well if you stop moving before you shoot.
For a lot of situations in the story, sometimes even necessary, it's better to sneak up than going in guns blazing. This way, you'll have a much smoother time getting to the objectives without having to fight through a lot of enemies.
You can activate "Instinct" by pressing the D-pad up button or V (PC). This mode lets you see enemies through obstructions, allowing you to plan your moves more carefully.
Scannaturi knives allow you to throw them at range when doing stealth takedowns, allowing more options in stealth. If you know the mission will require a lot of stealth, bring a Scannaturi knife to make it easier for you.

There are knives that come with special perks, such as healing Enzo after a takedown, increased melee damage, and increased throwing range. These perks can make accomplishing missions easier or faster, so it's best to use a knife that is best suited for the mission.

As you use knives, their sharpness fades with each use and you'll need whetstones to restore them. Whetstones are hard to come by so conserve sharpness by using the normal Stealth Takedown instead of one with the knife if you don't need to.

Charms give you useful perks that can help you in a variety of ways, including combat, stealth, and even looting. Be sure to keep an eye out for these items during your playthrough so you can use them to your advantage.

The Fortunato Bead can be obtained early on in Chapter 2 and it increases the Dinari you earn from looting. You can find this right outside Don Torri's tent on a wooden platform just before you compete in the horse race.

After you finish Chapter 2 of the story, you'll be able to unlock the Chapter Replay feature which lets you replay previously completed chapters of the story in case you missed anything.
Chapter Replay is the best way to go for combat-related achievements and trophies you might have missed. This also comes with Explore Mode letting you free roam the world without being constrained by the story.

Explore Mode is the best way to find collectibles and hunt for non-combat achievements in the game. Anything you've earned in the story mode is also available for you in Explore Mode and vice versa.
You can use a car or horse to travel faster between locations or to chase targets, especially during missions. Driving a car and riding a horse lets you shoot targets as well so be sure to do that when you can.
More cars and horses can be unlocked as you progress the story and purchasing them from shops with Dinari. They have different stats as well so be sure to use the best one.
During certain missions where the next location is extremely far and you're required to ride a horse or car, you can use Skip Ride or Drive to avoid having to travel the distance and arrive at the destination instantly, allowing you to progress the story faster.
However, doing so will skip certain conversations you'll have if you choose not to skip the travel, which may contain more info about the game's lore.
