Don Salieri, main antagonist of the original Mafia game, does not make an appearance in the flesh but does get mentioned in an arrest record at Guardia HQ. The arrest record is for Ennio Salieri, his full name. This is one of the many easter eggs you can find in the game.

Mafia: The Old Country is more of a prequel rather than a continuation to the other games but there is one other character making an appearance from Mafia 1, Sam Trapani.

Sam Trapani makes a subtle cameo in Mafia: The Old Country as the son of Luca Trapani, the underboss of Don Torrisi. You may have seen him in Chapter 5 as he gets scolded by his mom for stealing food from the kitchen.
