There are some returning characters from previous installments of the franchise that you may not recognize in Mafia: The Old Country. Check this page out for a list of all returning characters, where you meet them, and their role in previous games!

|---|---|
| Chapter 3 | |
| Previous Installments | |
| Mafia 2, Mafia 3 |
Leo Galante returns from Mafia 2 as his younger self working for his grandfather, Niccolò Galante, in Mafia: The Old Country. You'll be able to meet Leo Galante in Chapter 3 once you visit Don Galante at Port Almaro.
You may know him as the right-hand man and consigliere of Don Frank Vinci, the head of the biggest crime family in Empire Bay, during the events of Mafia 2.
Giuseppe Palminteri |
First Appearance |
|---|---|
| Chapter 6 | |
| Previous Installments | |
| Mafia 2 |
Giuseppe Palminteri comes in with his skills (from the future) in Mafia 2 to help the Torrisi Crime Family literally make money. You'll be getting him out of trouble in Chapter 6 of Mafia: The Old Country to acquire his skills.
Giuseppe played the role of a fixer in Empire Bay in Mafia 2, always behind the scenes providing forgeries and firearms for the protagonist, Vito Scaletta. We trace his roots back here in Mafia: The Old Country as a Sicilian and an infamous counterfeiter in all of Italy.
Frank Vinci |
First Appearance |
|---|---|
| Chapter 7 | |
| Previous Installments | |
| Mafia 2 |
Frank Vinci makes a quiet appearance in Mafia: The Old Country as a silent and mysterious mafioso of the Galante Crime Family. You meet him in Chapter 7 as he helps Leo with some family business.
Also known as Don Vinci, the head of the biggest crime family in Empire Bay, he plays a huge role as one of the antagonists in Mafia 2. You would not expect him to be a big name judging from his cameo in this new game alone.
Sam Trapani |
First Appearance |
|---|---|
| Chapter 5 | |
| Previous Installments | |
| Mafia: Definitive Edition |
Sam Trapani makes a subtle cameo in Mafia: The Old Country as the son of Luca Trapani, the underboss of Don Torrisi. You may have seen him in Chapter 5 as both his parents, Luca and Valentina, scold him for stealing food from the kitchen.
In the original Mafia game, a much older Sam had a major role as one of the most important characters. He was a caporegime in the Salieri family and a close friend of the protagonist, Tommy Angelo.
