Fighting an Archgriffin is almost the same as fighting a normal Griffin. Their only difference is that Archgriffins have an additional attack where they can spit acid from their mouths.
The best way to fight a Archgriffin is to force it down to the ground, hit it with bombs then try and attack it from behind. You can force it down to the ground by using the Aard Sign when it tries to swoop down and claw you while flying. When the Archgriffin is on the ground, you can throw a Grapeshot Bomb to stun it or a Northern Wind Bomb to freeze it in place. Doing this will give you ample time to attack it from behind.
You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Hybrid oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some Grapeshot Bombs and Northern Wind Bombs for the battle when you are able to force it down to the ground.
