How to Fight the Hounds of the Wild Hunt

How to Fight

The best way to deal with them is to hit them with fire damage. You can do this by using the Igni Sign, igniting them with the cloud from the Dragon's Dream Bomb, or throwing a Dancing Star Bomb. You can also throw Dimeritium Bombs to reduce the damage of their attacks and prevent them from forming icy spikes. When they do this all of your attacks will get deflected and you will take damage.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Elementa oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some Dragon's Dream, Dancing Star, or Dimeritium Bombs to throw at them depending on the situation.

Special Sign Effects

  • Igni - If your Sign Intensity is high enough, this will ignite them and they will take fire damage for a decent duration.
  • Yrden - You can use this to slow them down if multiple hounds are attacking you.
  • Axii - They will get stunned for a decent duration allowing you to attack them.
