How to Get Rare Stones Quickly
Look for the second machine as you travel to the dark area and activate it. Doing so causes a new platform to emerge which contains the figure and three Star Coins.
Meta Knight Sword | Blizzard Ice |
The Sword copy ability allows you to attack quickly using its jump attack. Most of Phantom Clawroline's moves can be avoided by hovering, so you can immediately inflict damage using the jump attack as soon as she stops attacking.
You can pick up the Sword in the boss area before facing Phantom Clawroline.
If you have kept the Ice copy ability until the boss area, you can use it to freeze Phantom Clawroline and cause massive damage. You can also use its combo attack to protect yourself from incoming attacks and inflict damage at the same time.
Phantom Clawroline has four moves: a knife throw, a disappearing attack, a pouncing attack that causes a shockwave, and a five consecutive scratch attack. When her health is at 40%, she gains three moves: a rushing attack from the pillar, knife throws from the pillar, and an X-shaped beam attack.
|
You can hover to avoid almost all of Clawroline's attacks during the first and second phases of the fight.
It is recommended to use a copy ability that has a jump attack, such as the Sword, to attack the boss after hovering.
Clawroline's quick pouncing attack may still hit you despite hovering. You can run away first before hovering to avoid getting hit by the pounce from above.
In the second phase, Clawroline will charge up and unleash an x-shaped beam attack on you. You can avoid this move by hovering in place as soon as the boss charges up the attack.
Phantom Clawroline moves fast after performing her attacks so it is recommended to use the Sword's jumping attack to inflict damage.
In the second phase of the fight, Phantom Clawroline will start throwing knives from the pillar. You can run from side to side to avoid getting hit by this attack.
