Is the Autocannon Worth It?

Powerful Against Armored Enemies

Tier Rating A Tier A Tier

The Autocannon is the a good candidate against armored enemies like Hive Guards, Brood Commanders, Berserkers, and Scout Striders. This lets you take out the enemy head on without having to flank them.

How to Unlock Autocannon

Available after Reaching Level 10

Autocannon can be unlocked for purchase after reaching level 10. You can buy this Stratagem for 7000 Requisition Slips in the Ship Management console located inside your ship.

How to Use Autocannon

Throw and Equip

The Autocannon can be called in the form of a supply drop. Throw the Stratagem in a location where you can pick up the supply—preferably close to you. Once the supply drops, interact with it to obtain and equip the Autocannon.

Reload Before Running Out of Ammo

The Autocannon Stratagem comes with an ammo backpack that you will also have to bring with you so that you can reload. However, reloading the Autocannon by yourself is slow and a lengthy process. You can make up for this by reloading before emptying a whole clip on the Autocannon to perform a faster reload animation.

Have a Teammate Carry the Ammo Backpack

One of your teammates can bring the ammunition backpack for you, while you carry the Autocannon. Carrying both the Autocannon and ammunition backpack yourself will take a long time reloading the weapon, so it's best to have a teammate carry the ammo bag and reload the rifle for you.

Use Ship Module Upgrades

Use Ship Modules to further increase the effectiveness of Stratagems on the field. Listed below are the following Ship Modules that augment and enhance the Autocannon Stratagem:
